A resort complex in the North Star Vinh Phuc province has been listed among the world's top 10 hotels and resorts in 2014 by designboom, a popular web publication in architecture, design, and art.
Flamingo Dai Lai Resort, a residential retreat is located 50
km from Hanoi, including two contrasting buildings designed by the Vietnam Vo
Trong Nghia Company Architects - Dai Lai Wing Conference Hall and Bamboo.
The resort has been planned for city residents to enjoy
their weekends in a more natural environment, as it is located in the middle of
the forest between Dai Lai Lake and surrounding mountains.
Bamboo Bamboo Wing cantilever structure is flying in the sky
like birds. The structure of this 12-meters wide, was built in 2009, serves as
a restaurant and cafe for the resort.
The Dai Lai Conference Hall was built in 2012 for the
organization of events and workshops, using bamboo and stone materials.
Two structures won several design awards locally and internationally.
